Hi, meet Testsite Meent. Rotterdam newest artist run exhibition space.

We aim to connect the everyday passerby with non-conventional works of art within the fields of technology and media. Simultaneously we strive to create a breeding ground for makers and creative networks: The 300m2 offers a spot for rotating window-exhibitions, a stage for talks and flexible workspace for developing and testing experimental projects.

We value artistic development through practical experiments. On location we will challenge ourselves to further develop projects and start new projects. We will do this by conducting collective experiments. The experiment will be visible in the windows so that passers-by are involved at all times or with a event. The side effect of this is that the passerby can become part of the experiment at any time, on our own initiative or ours. This fits in with our idea of transparency and being a breeding ground where knowledge is shared and developed. With this open and research approach, we want to keep the threshold low so that everyone can join. A core value of Testsite Meent is that we exhibit non-conventional art. We, and many of our colleagues, theorize a lot about technology and the use of media. Beyond the visual, we offer the opportunity to delve deeper into topics of media and technology in a small-scale setting. We will offer talks that we hope will end in a conversation. Even though many of these talks will contain more difficult material, we want to keep the threshold low so that everyone can join. Please feel encouraged to engage.

could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?

    Thanks a lot!
